In August, our group will begin reading and discussing Beginning The Early Church Was the Catholic Church by Joe Heschmeyer. Can you defend our Catholic faith as the foundation of Christianity? This book focuses on the first two centuries of Christianity and on bedrock principles of its belief, authority, and worship. We’ll dig into the words and actions of those who lived right after the apostles to see how the faith was practiced back then. If you want to learn to defend our Church at its roots―or even if you’re just curious about what our eldest Christian brothers and sisters believed―you can expect this study group to be richly rewarding. Our group meets in the Father Moriarty Center at St. John the Evangelist, Pawling the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Do you want to join us, or do you have questions?
